Location: Must live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location and work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a team of designers, supporting their professional growth and helping them to deliver experiences.
• Ship AI-powered experiences that delight consumers with an emphasis on craft, quality, trust, and user and societal impact.
• Own the user experience for the product areas your team supports.
• Collaborate with other product leaders to manage the product development process.
• Establish and maintain mechanisms to share design work to gather feedback.
• Partner with product teams to define goals and performance indicators.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field.
• 6+ years (Master’s) or 8+ years (Bachelor’s) experience in product or service design.
• 3+ years people management experience.
• A portfolio demonstrating experience designing consumer products from vision through launch.

Nice to have

• 8+ years (Master’s) or 12+ years (Bachelor’s) experience in product or service design.
• Experience prompting LLMs and working with generative AI.
• Engineering experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
