Senior Legal Counsel (GTM)

TL;DR

Senior Legal Counsel (GTM): Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex B2B commercial agreements and advising on commercial legal matters with an accent on SaaS, public sector, and agentic AI matters. Focus on identifying risks, suggesting pragmatic solutions, and improving internal legal processes within the Go-to-Market organization.

Location: Hybrid, requiring office presence twice a week in Cologne or Berlin, Germany. Candidates must be a fully qualified UK or German counsel.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate B2B commercial agreements, including SaaS, MSA, and DPAs.
• Advise on public sector and agentic AI matters.
• Provide expert legal advice to the GtM team, identifying risks and suggesting pragmatic solutions.
• Support the improvement of internal processes within the GtM organization.
• Develop and maintain templates for the GtM Legal team.
• Draft and conduct training and self-help materials for various stakeholders worldwide.

Requirements

• Fully qualified UK or German counsel or comparable with at least seven years of in-house legal experience (preferably in a technology company).
• Experience in reviewing and negotiating B2B and SaaS contracts.
• Good knowledge of UK and German law, with preferred experience in US or Japanese law.
• Excellent communication skills with different target groups and hierarchical levels.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English.
