General QA Engineer

TL;DR

General QA Engineer: Collaborating closely with development teams and product managers to ensure quality across Android, Web, and iOS clients for a live-streaming platform with an accent on designing and executing testing strategies for complex backend workflows. Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus, with one day per week remotely. The role includes official employment in Cyprus, with support for work permit visas for employees and residence permits for spouses.

What you will do

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers on software requirements and testing strategies.
• Participate in product and architectural design reviews to create comprehensive test plans.
• Design and execute testing strategies for Android, Web, and iOS clients.
• Lead and execute end-to-end quality assurance activities, including test planning, design, execution, and defect management.
• Design and execute backend integration and e2e tests for microservices, including API and message queue testing.
• Manage and support release processes, participating in manual regression.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in QA.
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA's role.
• Deep knowledge of test design techniques and test coverage assessment.
• Solid experience with client testing (Android, Web, iOS).
• Experience with testing microservices architectures, message queues, and distributed systems.
• Ability to analyze system logs, debug complex multi-service interactions, and understand data flow.
• Familiarity with Git and Git commands.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
