Fullstack Senior Software Engineer (FedRAMP): Designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services and APIs for an innovative EEG Portal with an accent on secure, regulated cloud deployment and data integrity. Focus on ensuring FedRAMP High compliance, automating deployment pipelines on AWS/GCP, and managing sensitive, real-time EEG data.

Location: Hybrid (2 days in office) in SF Bay Area or Remote within the United States. Must be authorized to work in the US.

Salary: $120,000 - $190,000 USD (based on location and experience)

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of robust, scalable back-end services and APIs for the EEG Portal.
• Ensure all cloud deployment and application design adhere to FedRAMP High requirements and support continuous monitoring activities.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from system design to deployment and monitoring in a regulated medical environment.
• Develop and deploy containerized web applications on AWS/GCP, focusing on security, reliability, and automated deployment.
• Design and implement efficient SQL database schemas and queries for sensitive, real-time EEG data.
• Collaborate with front-end developers on API definitions and contribute to UI implementation as needed.

Requirements

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical disciplines or 5+ years of professional experience in web application development with a focus on back-end systems.
• Expert proficiency in modern back-end technologies including Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and SQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience developing and deploying scalable web applications using Docker/Kubernetes on major cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Demonstrated experience with FedRAMP requirements, controls, and implementation.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for both back-end and some front-end development.
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented work ethic required for developing software in the medical device or highly regulated industry.
