Location: Hybrid: at least two days per week, or 40% of time, at the Edinburgh (Sighthill) office.

Salary: £90,440 - £164,920 per annum

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams responsible for the Economic Crime Prevention platform.
• Drive the transformation and evolution of the Application Fraud capability.
• Coach and mentor teams on best practices for designing secure, resilient, and maintainable systems.
• Provide input into IT security policies and manage knowledge systems.
• Develop and deliver budget plans and tactical resource optimization plans.
• Develop new testing approaches and strategies for products/operations.

Requirements

• Experience leading high-performing engineering teams in a high-scale, distributed environment.
• Strong technical background in a software engineering discipline, with understanding of modern microservice or event-based architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong focus on observability and monitoring.
• Pragmatic approach to balancing technical debt, product velocity, and operational reliability.
• Hands-on technical leadership and people development skills.
