Location: Travel to customers in your region up to 30% of the time. This role is based in the Northeast - United States or Southeast - United States.

What you will do

• Partner with sales to develop account strategies and grow platform usage.
• Establish the hirify.global Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers.
• Build and present reference architectures and demo applications to prospects.
• Achieve technical wins by consulting on big data, data engineering, and data science/machine learning projects.
• Become an expert in and promote hirify.global-inspired open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas).

Requirements

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role.
• Expertise in at least one of the following: Big Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Data Warehousing & ETL (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS), or Data Science and Machine Learning (pandas, scikit-learn, HPO).
• Experience translating customer business needs to technology solutions and establishing buy-in with stakeholders.
• Experienced at designing, architecting, and presenting data systems for customers and managing production solutions.
• Fluent in SQL and database technology.
• Debug and development experience in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Ability to travel to customers in your region up to 30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research).
