What you will do

• Lead public policy and government relations for hirify.global in Japan.
• Support corporate communications activities, including crisis management, announcements, and regulatory affairs.
• Act as a spokesperson in crucial media interactions.
• Manage ongoing media relations across Japan to build and maintain relationships with key press.
• Develop written materials, including company messaging, press releases, and government submissions.
• Understand complex policy documents and simplify them for non-policy audiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years of public policy experience with a financial technology company and/or global publicly-traded company.
• Fluent spoken and written Japanese and business English.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Experience in corporate communications.
• Experience engaging and building effective relationships with corporate affairs stakeholders, including government officials and journalists.
• Experience with lobbying, participating in, or submitting responses to government consultations on behalf of a business.

Nice to have

• Former work experience with the Japanese Government, especially METI (経産省) or FSA (金融庁).
