Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week, increasing to 3 days per week starting January 2026. A relocation stipend may be available for those willing to relocate to a hirify.global hub location (San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; Santiago, Chile).

Salary: $173,000–$215,000 USD (San Francisco, CA)

What you will do

• Design, build, and launch new products in close collaboration with customers and leaders.
• Take full ownership of developing end-to-end applications, from idea to delivery.
• Build and improve APIs, including integration with third-party services.
• Run and measure product experiments to guide future development.
• Build scalable APIs and asynchronous event-based architecture to handle high traffic.
• Maintain code reliability through solid testing and thoughtful reviews.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• 6+ years of fullstack software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Ruby (Ruby on Rails) / Javascript (React), or similar languages/frameworks.
• Experience building scalable technical architecture for 10M+ users, including observability tooling and container orchestration.
• Strong product sense and experimentation mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with trust & safety, IDV, background check products or criminal data.
• Experience with data analysis and processing.
• Experience building and working with scrapers and scraping technology.
