Jr. Software Development Engineer

TL;DR

Jr. Software Development Engineer (Backend): Writing real software and collaborating with experienced engineers to solve complex technical challenges at hirify.global with an accent on object-oriented design. Focus on balancing work and school year-round and contributing to impactful deliverables.

Location: Must be living within commutable distance to Madrid and able to work in person year-round at the Madrid corporate office. This role is not offered remote or hybrid.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Graduating June 2028 and beyond.
• Able to start work in June 2026.
• Ability to work in person year-round at the Madrid corporate office. (This role is not offered remote or hybrid and all working hours must be in office.)
• Must be living within commutable distance to Madrid.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design.

Nice to have

• Previous technical internship(s), if applicable.
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Ability to solve complex problems and work through ambiguity.
