Backend Developer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Backend Developer (Fintech): Developing and maintaining backend services using Golang for money movement, payouts, and cross-product integrations with an accent on translating business requirements into efficient and structured code. Focus on database schemas design, optimized SQL queries, and asynchronous communication between microservices using Kafka.

Location: Hybrid in Cyprus. Relocation package offered for candidates from other regions. Must not reside in or perform work from Russia, Crimea region, So-Called Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang.
• Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Implement asynchronous communication between microservices using Kafka.
• Cover code with tests and ensure monitoring/logging is in place.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Good understanding of Go language syntax, standard library, and common patterns.
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with microservice architecture, Docker, and CI/CD principles.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and experience using Kafka.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work collaboratively.
