Instructional Design Analyst

TL;DR

Instructional Design Analyst: Builds and optimizes clear, high-impact learning materials (eLearning, videos, job aids, work instructions) for business processes across various departments, with an accent on applying Adult Learning Theory and modern design methodologies. Focus on conducting needs, learner, and task analyses, creating high-impact training programs, and ensuring alignment with organizational vision and strategic goals.

Location: This role is on-site in Westerville, OH, United States.

What you will do

• Conduct needs, learner/persona, and task/topic analyses to finalize measurable learning objectives.
• Apply Adult Learning Theory and accessibility standards to create topic outlines, storyboards, and assessment plans.
• Design and deliver high-impact training programs across multiple formats, including eLearning and video.
• Collaborate with program managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to refine learning materials.
• Build and manage project plans, milestones, risks, and status to meet deadlines.
• Review and edit all training materials for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, or a minimum of 2-5 years of proven business experience in a similar field.
• Experience creating eLearning modules, job aids, work instructions, and/or technical documentation.
• Familiarity with instructional design concepts, standards, and adult learning principles.
• Experience with digital content creation tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills at multiple business levels.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, Blackboard, Workday) and administration.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as ATD, CompTIA CTT+.
