TL;DR
Service Designer: Shaping complex services across digital, operational, and organizational boundaries for a data-led organization with an accent on designing practical improvements. What you will do
- Map and design end-to-end services across complex, multi-channel environments.
- Work with users, delivery teams, and stakeholders to understand needs, constraints, and opportunities.
- Create service artefacts such as service blueprints, journey maps, and operating models.
- Identify pain points and design improvements across people, processes, policy, and technology.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, UX designers, product managers, and delivery teams.
- Support evidence-led decision making within a data-heavy, scientific, and operational context.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing services within complex organizations or public sector environments.
- Confidence leading service design activity from discovery through to delivery.
- Experience working across digital and non-digital touchpoints.
- Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to balance user needs, organisational constraints, and delivery realities.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC).
