Applied Scientist Intern (AI)

TL;DR

Applied Scientist Intern (AI): Designing and developing state-of-the-art end-to-end systems for never-before-solved problems in machine learning and AI with an accent on technical white papers, roadmaps, and production-level projects. Focus on designing new algorithms and models, and deploying solutions into production within hirify.global's customer-focused culture.

Location: Onsite in the EMEA region (Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, South Africa, UAE, and UK). These are not remote internships.

What you will do

• Own the design and development of end-to-end systems.
• Write technical white papers, create roadmaps, and drive production-level projects for hirify.global Science.
• Work with hirify.global scientists and other interns to develop and deploy solutions into production.
• Design new algorithms, models, or other technical solutions.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields for a 2026 internship.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language.
• Ability to work with diverse groups and cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
• Must work from one of the listed EMEA locations (Austria, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, South Africa, UAE, and UK).

Nice to have

• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self-developed code.
• Experience in solving business problems through machine learning, data mining, and statistical algorithms.
