Network Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Network Engineer (Fintech): Deploying and maintaining network hardware and software, optimizing WAN performance, and resolving cloud networking tasks with an accent on Juniper, Cisco switches/routers, firewalls, APs, WLC, load balancers, and VPNs. Focus on implementing security policies, automating tasks, and troubleshooting network issues in a high-tech environment.

Location: Open to relocate and work on-site in our office in Mexico or remote.

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware/software (Juniper, Cisco switches/routers, firewalls, APs, WLC, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Optimize WAN performance via BGP, QoS, and dynamic routing.
• Collaborate with ISPs and vendors for new WAN channels and project delivery.
• Resolve AWS cloud networking tasks (Direct Connect, VPN, etc.).
• Implement security policies, tools, and procedures with the security team.
• Automate tasks via Python, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Requirements

• 2+ years as a Network Engineer, preferably in banking/finance.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper devices (routing, switching, firewalls).
• Deep expertise: BGP, OSPF, VPC, STP, QoS, IPSec, VPN, 802.11, 802.1x.
• TCP/IP stack and OSI model proficiency.
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Wireshark, or similar.
• Scripting (Python, Ansible) for network automation.

Nice to have

• Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP-ENT, JNCIS-DC, or equivalent.
• Spanish language knowledge
