What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy features to enhance observability services.
• Monitor services and take proactive actions during incidents.
• Interact with customers to understand their requirements and address issues.
• Work with leadership to evolve the feature roadmap by participating in release planning.
• Champion efforts to reduce engineering toil by automating manual procedures.
• Present work at tech talks, cloud demos, and engineering blogs.

Requirements

• B.S/M.S. in Computer Sciences or equivalent field.
• Experience building highly scalable, available, and real-time data management services.
• Experience building server-side Java or equivalent applications in a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Experience in Python, Perl, Ruby, Go, Scala etc.
• Experience with time series DBs, metric collection frameworks, message bus, and data streaming platforms using Apache Kafka, OpenTSDB, ElasticSearch, Splunk, or equivalent technologies.
• Some experience using SQL and/or NoSQL databases e.g. Oracle, Hbase etc.
• Good understanding of AWS technologies and operations.
• Demonstrated passion, ability, a willingness to learn quickly and a mindset to make a difference.

Nice to have

• Expertise in data processing techniques.
• Experience with container orchestration systems Kubernetes, Docker, Helios, Fleet.
• Expertise in open source technologies like Elastic Search, Logstash, Kakfa, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, Trino/Presto, Hive, Airflow, Splunk.
