What you will do
- Own the long-term technical strategy and ensure the Shopper Agent platform scales for the world's largest commerce sites.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate cutting-edge AI/ML technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Understanding (NLU), and vector databases.
- Solve systemic performance bottlenecks and architectural deficiencies in highly distributed, fault-tolerant cloud-native systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor senior engineers to raise engineering excellence.
- Define operational excellence, resilience, and security for global enterprise-scale systems.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years operating as a Principal Engineer (or equivalent) for large-scale production systems.
- Deep mastery in designing and building highly scalable, cloud-native systems, including distributed and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in a modern backend language (e.g., Java, Python, or Go) and experience with SQL and NoSQL environments.
- Significant experience building and deploying on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong technical communication skills to articulate complex technical visions.

Nice to have
- Prior experience in E-commerce, conversational AI, chatbot development, or large-scale search/recommendation systems.
