TL;DR

Network Specialist (RAN/5G): Driving improvement in Radio Coverage & Performance through effective performance management and localized network optimisation with an accent on detailed analysis of network performance and customer experience. Focus on identifying and prioritising investment requirements to drive better customer experience and building effective business cases.

Location: London or Bristol, United Kingdom. Working Style: 3 days a week from office, 2 days from home.

What you will do

• Perform detailed analysis of network performance and customer experience in given geographical areas.
• Produce and implement detailed improvement plans for continuous network improvement using existing radio network capability.
• Identify and prioritise investment requirements to enhance customer experience and build effective business cases.
• Monitor network performance, investigate trends, and identify commonalities across the network.
• Support less experienced team members and share knowledge to improve overall team skills.
• Work with operations and managed service providers to ensure operational faults impacting performance are effectively progressed.

Requirements

• Advanced Mobile Network RAN optimization/planning and/or RAN Performance knowledge in LTE and 5G.
• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations using incomplete information.
• Produce clear and effective written and verbal communication to justify actions and drive business decisions.
• Experience of Huawei/Ericsson/Nokia Performance counters and parameters.
• Knowledge of crowd data sources and their use in understanding radio propagation and customer hot spots.
• Drive survey analysis including layer 3 message drill down and diagnostics.

Nice to have

• Data Analytics and the ability to process and investigate large datasets.
• Experience of using Atoll or similar Network planning tools.
• Use of and interpretation of network performance KPI’s.
