Product Owner

TL;DR

Product Owner: Maximizing value delivered by Product Engineering teams and driving continuous improvements for a product area with an accent on owning problems end-to-end and understanding customer needs. Focus on translating high-level objectives into detailed user stories and ensuring product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Location: Hybrid role requiring two days a week in the Newcastle upon Tyne office.

What you will do

• Own, maintain, and prioritise Tribe and Team backlogs in line with strategic direction.
• Contribute to the Bede Product Roadmap for your product area.
• Translate high-level objectives into clear, detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Take full accountability for product quality and sign off features at the end of each sprint.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to produce sprint reports and project delivery dates.
• Own and maintain product documentation, ensuring gaps are filled and kept up to date.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a technology environment.
• Strong experience in Agile development.
• Confident use of English (both written and verbal) to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
• Proven track record in software development with full end-to-end project lifecycle experience.
• Solid understanding of web-based systems development.
• Customer-focused, with the ability to identify and clearly articulate product requirements.
