Linux Systems Engineer

TL;DR

Linux Systems Engineer: Building and automating Linux-based tools and services for internal engineering teams with an accent on deployment, security, and proactive maintenance. Location: Hybrid role, office in Sofia, Bulgaria. Must have eligibility to work in the European country you are applying for. Sponsorship Visas are not supported.

What you will do

• Deploy new tools with a focus on automation and security.
• Maintain and update existing environments, proactively troubleshooting issues.
• Provide operational support to colleagues.
• Suggest and implement system improvements.
• Research, test, and recommend new technologies.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Linux distributions (ideally Debian/AlmaLinux) and their core components (iptables, systemd, kernel, unix tools).
• Hands-on experience with popular open-source technologies (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Docker, Git) and configuration management (Ansible).
• Skilled in scripting (Go, Python, PHP, Perl).
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Proactive, analytical, solution-oriented, able to take ownership, and strong focus on security.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
