Engineering Manager (SaaS): Building a new, scalable payments and e-commerce services platform that will serve as the core engine for 70,000+ entrepreneurs with an accent on defining the strategy for how new services will interact with, and decouple from, an existing Ruby on Rails monolith. Location: Remote (within Germany)
Salary: A personal Training & Development budget of € 1,500 per year.

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, guiding them through complex technical challenges.
- Spearhead the architecture and delivery of a new, public-facing API, defining patterns for decoupling logic from the core RoR application.
- Contribute to the discussion and implementation of a new, secure authentication and authorization layer.
- Ensure that everything your team builds is scalable, secure, and designed for a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Manage the technical roadmap and balance immediate business goals with the long-term architectural vision.
Requirements
- Have experience navigating the trade-offs between greenfield development and legacy integration.
- Have a strong track record as an Engineering Manager, with proven experience in people management and a passion for developing talent.
- Have deep, hands-on experience in the SaaS world and what it takes to build, secure, and scale a publicly available API.
- Must have a strong background in Ruby on Rails and a firm grasp of distributed systems and modern authentication technologies.
- Be a great communicator who loves to "bounce ideas" around and can translate complex technical concepts.

- Experience in the payments, e-commerce, or "monetization" domain.
