TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (Emergency Cash): Leading the technical delivery of rapid, technology-enabled cash assistance for crisis response with an accent on systems configuration, data protection, and risk management. Location: Fully remote, but must overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours. The company is unable to sponsor or take over employment visas in the U.S. or U.K. at this time.
Salary: US base salary $99,000; Kenya base salary $61,900. Salaries for other countries will be benchmarked during hiring.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end technical program delivery for emergency responses, including scoping, configuration, QA, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with various internal teams (Product, Engineering, Data) to ensure system alignment and seamless field functionality.
- Ensure all systems adhere to hirify.global’s standards for data protection, privacy, and financial controls.
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, deployment guides, and incident-response protocols for rapid deployment.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to develop product roadmaps and prioritize improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks for systems and data flows in high-risk operating environments.
Requirements
- Exceptional alignment with hirify.global Values and core competencies (emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, fostering inclusivity).
- 5+ years of professional experience in technical program management, product management, data analytics, software engineering, international development, emergency response, or management consulting.
- Experience managing timelines, operational risk, stakeholders, and complex deliverables across multiple workstreams.
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced and ambiguous settings, exercising sound judgment to balance speed, risk, and quality.
- Working proficiency with a programming or statistical language (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, Java, Apex).
- Fluency in English.

- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with data visualization.
- Experience working in humanitarian or emergency response contexts.
- Familiarity with humanitarian coordination systems and donor expectations.
