QA Engineer (Automation)

TL;DR

QA Engineer (Automation): Testing products on the hirify.global platform, involving design and execution of test plans, writing test automations, and managing projects throughout the SDLC with an accent on functional, performance, and regression testing. Focus on hunting down resource leaks, digging into Windows security configuration, and scripting environment configuration for various OSs.

Location: Hybrid with 3 days in the office weekly (Krakow, Poland)

What you will do

• Design and create unique test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
• Write test automations with Python and enhance existing testing framework components.
• Oversee resources, project plans, and timelines, and manage test plans, progress, and reports.
• Execute test plans efficiently and open high-quality bug reports.
• Utilize project management and leadership skills to manage multiple concurrent projects throughout the software development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or other relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience, preferably at an enterprise level.
• Solid understanding of black box testing and good experience with manual integration testing.
• Practical experience in test automation using Python.
• Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux & Windows); how they are installed and configured.
• Strong experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, UTM, and similar).
• Proficient with scripting languages (Shell, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) and familiar with their use for streamlining day to day tasks.
• Familiarity with network security, authentication, file signature, and certificates.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in database administration, building AI models, or performance testing.
