Junior Animator

TL;DR

Junior Animator: Contributing to the art production pipeline for gaming products with an accent on smooth visuals and striking animations. Focus on developing original 2D/3D animated content, modeling, texturing, and lighting, and applying animation rules to create immersive game experiences.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain. Candidates must be authorized to work in Spain on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Contribute to all levels of the art production pipeline, from conceptualizing to final game art.
• Maintain organized, layered files and asset storage.
• Develop 2D and/or 3D objects and scenes, including modeling, texturing, and lighting.
• Develop original 2D and/or 3D animated content and graphics.
• Understand storyboards and build Animatics for game workflows.
• Partner with designers and programmers to bring games alive through visuals and animations.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in art, animation, or a related field.
• Intermediate-level skills in animation demonstrated in a portfolio.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects, including plug-ins.
• Experience with Autodesk Maya and similar 3D art software; intermediate skills in 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, and animation.
• Knowledge of storyboarding, video production, and 2D/3D animation.
• Ability to break down animation assets and provide accurate estimates.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in Spain on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the gaming industry.
• Outstanding abilities in drawing, illustration, and composition.
