What you will do

• Improve the model’s ability to reason through complex requests and chain multiple tools for user fulfillment.
• Build new agentic experiences powered by core tools with multi-modal input in GeminiLive (camera, screenshare).
• Identify gaps from user feedback and enhance the model’s capability for function calling.
• Develop data collection and evaluation infrastructure for scalable model improvement, including autoraters and automatic prompt optimization.

Requirements

• BS, MS or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, machine learning, or similar industry experience.
• Experience working on software engineering projects from proof-of-concept through to implementation.
• Proven knowledge and experience of Python, C++, GCL in production environments.
• Experience in applying experimental ideas to applied problems.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistics.

Nice to have

• Experience productionizing state-of-the-art large language and multimodal models.
• Experience fine-tuning large models (SFT, RLHF, prompt optimization).
