What you will do

• Build automation and analysis systems for next-generation avatars, designing pipelines and services for performance and quality evaluation at scale.
• Develop backend services and frontend tooling for data collection, processing, validation, and user interfaces.
• Instrument and analyze avatar performance across platforms, creating metrics and dashboards to identify bottlenecks.
• Improve avatar and engine stack robustness by collaborating with engine and platform teams.
• Partner with art, design, and engineering teams to translate needs into automation and diagnostic tools.
• Lead technical direction, set high standards for design and code quality, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Location: Based in or near San Mateo, CA, United States with hybrid onsite schedule.
• Experience: 5+ years in game development, real-time systems, or computer graphics with production system delivery.
• Expertise in distributed systems and automation for large-scale pipelines and services.
• Familiarity with 3D engines, avatar or character systems, and performance profiling.
• Strong ownership and proactive approach to project lifecycle.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
