What you will do

• Build and expand code analysis engines and agents, specifically for Copilot Code Review, Copilot Autofix, and CodeQL.
• Maintain detection support for multiple programming languages by building source code extractors and writing CodeQL queries.
• Improve and evaluate LLM-powered detection and fix generation agents for Copilot code review and Autofix.
• Improve the security and quality of code produced by Copilot coding agents.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams, product managers, and users to deliver features and influence product direction.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with proven experience maintaining and delivering production software.
• Proficiency in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• 2+ years of experience in software security (static/dynamic analysis, supply chain security), OR building developer tools (compilers, parsers, linters, static analyzers, debuggers), OR machine learning/AI applied to source code using LLMs for code generation/reasoning.
• English: B2 required.
• Must be able to work remotely from Denmark.

Nice to have

• Experience with two or more of the listed areas (security, dev tools, ML/AI for code).
• Experience designing and running statistically-sound experiments.
• Industry or research knowledge of compilers, program analysis, or programming language design/implementation.
• Knowledge of logic programming or database query languages (SQL, Prolog, Datalog, Kusto Query Language).
• Experience in security research (identifying/disclosing vulnerabilities in open-source projects).
