C++ Application Engineer (AI, Computer Vision)

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Remote options are available after the first year.

What you will do

• Apply modern C++ (C++20) concepts and architecture for scalability and extensibility.
• Maintain and extend communication standards with various retail POS solutions.
• Optimize hardware utilization across different platforms.
• Improve CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Enhance tests, test coverage, and static code checks.
• Help prototype and develop new features and products.

Requirements

• In-depth experience in C++ modern coding concepts, threading, and memory management.
• Solid baseline in Computer Vision/image processing or efficient ML inference.
• Good understanding of CMake or comparable build tools.
• Familiarity with professional software development tools & concepts, like git, Agile development, containerization, CI/CD.
• Must be comfortable in a hybrid setup (3 days office / 2 days remote) in Berlin.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies.
• Experience with ML inference engines like PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT.
• Familiarity with Conan or similar package managers.
• C++ unit testing / TDD experience.
• Python based prototyping skills.
• Knowledge of networking protocols like HTTP, MQTT.
