TL;DR
Director of Technology (Payroll & HR): Leading French development teams to define and drive the product portfolio for payroll and reward solutions, overseeing software development and managing priorities. The role will be based in either Bayonne or Paris, France. This is a hybrid role, allowing remote work up to 3 days per week after a 6-month onboarding period. A workation benefit offers the possibility to work from any hirify.global site in Europe for up to 4 weeks per year.

What you will do
- Define and drive the product portfolio and vision for the Tribe, working closely with portfolio and country leadership teams.
- Make product lifecycle decisions and oversee software development, including IP creation.
- Lead people and product transformation towards modern architecture and agile ways of working.
- Manage the Tribe by formulating its mission and goals, deciding on composition, headcount, and allocating budgets.
- Build capability in international development centers to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
- Establish a strong product management team to assist in planning and prioritising work, synchronising product vision, and leading quarterly business reviews.
Requirements
- Fluency in French and high-level English required.
- Clear technology vision and purpose for country’s products, including architectural focus and technology roadmaps to deliver SaaS solutions.
- Proven experience in software product development within an international company.
- Strong understanding of both modern cloud-native technologies and legacy system transformation.
- A proven track record in driving cultural change and organizational transformation, with expertise in digital and agile environments.
- Ability to manage multi-dimensional, multi-country relationships and influence at all levels, along with experience managing technology resources in large organizations.
