TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Birmingham with at least two days in office per week

Salary: £67,023 - £74,470

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and own SLOs for critical platform services and monitor system health.
  • Lead incident response, post-mortem analysis, and root cause remediation.
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineering leads to embed reliability into design and delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in deployment, monitoring, and alerting processes.
  • Mentor and develop early career engineers while maintaining hands-on DevOps/SRE responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or near Birmingham with hybrid work arrangement
  • Strong understanding of IRIS/MUMPS, .NET, SQL, React, and any programming language.
  • Experience with SRE & DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and cloud platforms GCP and Azure.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring, and acting as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture is desirable.
