Location: This is a primarily onsite position in Karlsruhe, Germany, with the flexibility to work abroad for up to 20 days per year.

What you will do

• Be responsible for software development around machine learning as part of the agile Data Science/ML team.
• Work on a broad range of topics, including recommender systems, intelligent search, image and text classification, and time-series forecasting.
• Apply both classical machine learning approaches and modern techniques like deep learning and generative AI.
• Help shape the implementation and operationalization of data-driven projects based on modern MLOps concepts, both on-premise and in the cloud.
• Explore and utilize large datasets from a global online marketplace with over 350,000 daily users.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Python machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Proficiency in SQL and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of CNNs, NLP, and SVMs.
• Experience running machine learning systems in production environments.
• Proactive thinking, teamwork, and self-motivation.
• English: B2 required.
