What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale ML pipelines for advertising use cases including feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment.
• Build real-time and batch data processing systems to support ad targeting and campaign optimization.
• Collaborate with ML scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Develop APIs and services enabling ML-driven advertising solutions across Expedia’s global platform.
• Optimize Spark-based applications and ensure system reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Location: United Kingdom, London
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years professional experience with Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with Master’s degree.
• Proven experience building and deploying ML pipelines in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one other language (Scala or Java).
• Expertise in Spark, distributed data processing, and ML libraries like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, EMR, Kubernetes, Docker) and workflow tools (Airflow).
• Strong software design and debugging skills.
