What you will do

  • Act as Risk SME for Technology & CPO teams, fostering a strong risk culture.
  • Manage risk profiles, controls, KRIs, and registers aligned with policies and standards.
  • Integrate operational risk and compliance frameworks into daily operations.
  • Manage audits, incidents, and remediation plans ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver risk reporting to senior leadership and escalate issues to risk forums and regulators.
  • Perform risk and materiality assessments aligned with local and global governance requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Australia or New Zealand with solid understanding of local regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive experience in IT Governance and IT Risk Management within banking or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of operational risk principles, IT infrastructure, and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with risk and compliance frameworks including Basel II, Privacy, AML/CTF, and APRA standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
