What you will do

• Lead and empower a team of data scientists to drive business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand features, estimate impacts, and improve engagement based on big data insights.
• Enhance products by evaluating performance metrics and user feedback.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and content performance to improve recommendation systems.
• Build metrics systems to measure business health and quickly identify root causes for metric changes.
• Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate algorithm performance and propose iterative improvements.

Requirements

• Doctorate with 5+ years, Master's with 7+ years, or Bachelor's with 10+ years of data-science experience.
• 5+ years experience in data science modeling, statistics, analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven business strategy.
• 3+ years people-management experience.
• Must live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Previous product analytics, web analytics, or content analytics experience.
• Knowledge on big data processing (PySpark/Scala).
• Knowledge of Content ecosystem, Ads, and online shopping metrics.
