Salary: $72.00 - $92.00 per hour (contract)

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services in Go for card issuing and transaction processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering and financial services challenges
• Design and improve RESTful APIs consumed by frontend and customers
• Implement process improvements and development best practices
• Mentor engineers and foster knowledge sharing
• Contribute to building a new foundation for the card issuing/processing subsystem

Requirements

• Must be located and authorized to work in the US or Canada
• 4-6+ years professional software engineering experience
• Experience with Go or similar structured language
• Experience with PostgreSQL and major cloud providers (preferably Google Cloud)
• Experience creating and using RESTful APIs
• Contract position for one year with possible full-time conversion

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, GitLab APIs, Google Cloud APIs
• Experience in early-stage fast-moving teams
• Familiarity with payment rails, financial systems, card issuing/processing, ISO 8583
• Experience integrating third-party vendor APIs
• Fintech experience
