TL;DR

Director, Strategic Business Development: Leading the development and execution of technology partner strategy across AI, automation, and cloud, focusing on identifying, shaping, and closing transformative ISV partnerships. Focus on structuring complex commercial agreements, building data-driven business cases, and driving cross-functional alignment to accelerate product innovation and GTM footprint.

Location: Hybrid role based in San Mateo, CA headquarters with onsite expectations 3x/week (Tuesday - Thursday). Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international.

Salary: $215,000 – $290,000 annually, plus target bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead strategic business development across the ISV ecosystem, targeting high-value categories like AI, automation, and cloud.
  • Define and execute a multi-year ISV partner strategy aligned with product and Go-To-Market priorities.
  • Manage the full deal lifecycle, from identification and qualification to negotiation and close of complex commercial agreements.
  • Structure and negotiate agreements including integrations, co-sell, OEM, and joint solution partnerships.
  • Build data-driven business cases to quantify revenue impact and product differentiation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to launch and operationalize joint solutions.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years in Strategic Business Development, Partnerships, Corporate Strategy, or Corporate Development, ideally within B2B SaaS.
  • Proven success sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex partnerships with ISVs, OEMs, or enterprise technology providers.
  • Deep understanding of joint GTM execution, co-sell motions, and ecosystem-driven growth strategies.
  • Strong financial modeling and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience aligning and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy preferred.
  • Must be able to work onsite 3x/week (Tuesday - Thursday) from San Mateo, CA headquarters.
