- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Advocate for and apply best practices related to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Drive technical influence that spans the entire company.
Requirements
- 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree + 8+ years; or PhD + 5+ years.
- 2+ years of experience with technical leadership or acting as a domain expert.
- Experience with backend services or distributed systems.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: large-scale microservices, cloud computing, infrastructure, information retrieval/search systems, machine learning for search/recommender systems, or notifications infrastructure.
- Proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale.
