Salary: $195,000-$343,000 annually. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.

• Design, implement, and operate critical and scalable services, including ML systems, push notifications, friending graph, login, and registration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Advocate for and apply best practices related to availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
• Drive technical influence that spans the entire company.

Requirements

• 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or Master’s degree + 8+ years; or PhD + 5+ years.
• 2+ years of experience with technical leadership or acting as a domain expert.
• Experience with backend services or distributed systems.
• Experience in at least one of the following areas: large-scale microservices, cloud computing, infrastructure, information retrieval/search systems, machine learning for search/recommender systems, or notifications infrastructure.
• Proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale.
