What you will do

• Rapidly prototype and iterate on Gemini-powered AI product concepts and experimental features.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams across Google to integrate AI capabilities.
• Build end-to-end full-stack applications demonstrating novel agentic services and user experiences.
• Drive “zero-to-one” development from raw ideas to production-ready prototypes.
• Apply expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, and performance optimization to production environments.
• Leverage multimodal large language models (vision, audio, text) in product integrations.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Mountain View, California, US (onsite)
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience with high-traffic production systems.
• Experience training, deploying, and operating large ML models in scalable, low-latency environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Full-stack engineering experience including frontend frameworks (React, Flutter) and backend services.
• Experience delivering AI features leveraging LLMs and multimodal models to large user bases.
• Deep understanding of system architecture and modern design principles.
• Prompt engineering and evaluation strategy expertise.
