Location: Your primary location will be If’s office in Ballerup, Denmark, working in a hybrid setup with fixed team days onsite. Travel is a natural part of the role, and you can expect approximately 10–15 travel days per year, including visits to Nordic markets and occasional trips to our office in Kuala Lumpur.

What you will do

• Scale the GenAI Assistant from Denmark to all Nordic markets.
• Build real-time, production-ready AI systems integrating with internal APIs and data sources for personalized support.
• Continuously refine prompts, retrieval pipelines, grounding strategies, and evaluation frameworks to increase accuracy, safety, and customer relevance.
• Set the technical direction, ensuring architectural and implementation decisions lead to scalable, robust solutions.
• Mentor developers, elevate the squad’s technical maturity, and participate in sparring with other Tech Leads and architects.

Requirements

• Solid senior experience in back-end development using Python.
• Practical experience with Generative AI models, LLM APIs, and prompt engineering.
• Experience integrating AI with production systems, internal data, and APIs.
• Experience with RAG patterns or vector databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud and DevOps principles (Azure, CI/CD, IaC, Git).
• Ability to frame and evaluate AI quality systematically (relevance, reliability, safety).
• English: B2 required.
• Must be based in Ballerup, Denmark (hybrid setup with fixed team days onsite).

Nice to have

• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry or other GenAI platforms.
• Background from regulated industries such as finance or insurance.
