Location: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Must be based in Manchester or Leeds, UK.

What you will do
- Lead the definition and delivery of Colleague Technology Domain technology strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and the Principal Architect.
- Set and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns, ensuring alignment with business and technology goals.
- Provide strategic oversight and governance for major transformation initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a team of architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Represent architecture in executive forums, influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative thinking to the organisation.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
- Strategic experience with utilising cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), hybrid hosting, and modern architectures to solve business challenges.
- Strong background in Workplace Technologies (Microsoft Productivity & Collaboration suite, Identity platforms, Eptura Engage, Facilities Management platforms).
- Proven ability to set architectural vision and influence at senior levels.
- Experience leading and mentoring architecture teams.
- Strong track record of driving technology strategy and transformation.
- English: B2 required.
Nice to have
- Deep industry insight into the world of Workplace computing as it pertains to the financial services industry.
- Experience with utilising GenAI and Agentic technologies related to supporting Colleagues in the workplace.
- Experience with Config as Code and other forms of Automation such as managed governance approaches.
- Expertise in resilience and continuity, including disaster recovery and business/service continuity planning.
- Experience with data protection, encryption, and policy enforcement tooling.
