DevOps Engineer: Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments for a voice and workforce intelligence team with an accent on driving automation and embedding best practices. Focus on evolving CI/CD pipelines, optimizing Docker and Kubernetes deployments, and ensuring resilient, secure, and efficient systems.

Location: Hybrid working in Manchester, spending at least two days per week at the office.

Salary: £70,929–£85,000 per annum

What you will do

• Champion DevOps principles and modern engineering practices, fostering automation and continuous improvement.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Nexus, and Maven.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing for performance and resilience.
• Implement monitoring solutions with Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Kibana.
• Enable automated deployments and advanced release strategies with Harness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Maven, and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Harness for deployment automation.
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Kibana.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with cost optimization and autoscaling strategies in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of security automation and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and advanced deployment strategies.
