Network Engineer

TL;DR

Network Engineer (System Engineering): Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure for a global fintech platform with an accent on multi-vendor network devices, cloud environments, and network security. Focus on ensuring high availability, scalability, automation, and incident management in a hybrid work environment based in São Paulo.

Location: Hybrid in São Paulo, Brazil (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

What you will do

• Collaborate with platform engineering to ensure network and platform infrastructure availability and reliability.
• Design and implement scalable and reliable network systems and services.
• Develop monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations for high-severity incident response.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and use observability tools to improve system health.
• Automate processes and tools to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-vendor network devices (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet) and cloud environments (GCP, AWS) focused on networking.
• Knowledge of routing protocols (Static Routes, OSPF, BGP) and filtering technologies (Access-list, Prefix-List, Route-Maps).
• Security experience with firewall rules and Fortigate devices.
• Network documentation skills including High-Level and Low-Level designs, implementation plans, and change requests.
• Ability to work cross-functionally on network architecture projects with a focus on automation and efficiency; Agile methodology knowledge is desirable.
• English communication skills required.
• Ability to act as escalation point and coordinate issue resolution.
• Occasional travel to hirify.global locations may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech industry.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Skills in Shell scripting or Python development.
• Knowledge of Spanish.
