What you will do

• Lead development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques for multimodal LLMs.
• Scale training of models on hyper large GPU and AWS Trainium clusters.
• Optimize training workflows using distributed training and parallelism techniques.
• Optimize low-level training stack details including CUDA kernels and network I/O.
• Utilize and extend industry-leading frameworks such as NeMo, Megatron Core, PyTorch, and Jax.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to prototype new technologies and evaluate feasibility.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years programming experience and leading design or architecture of systems.
• 2+ years expertise in Machine Learning and/or Model Training.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
• Location requirement: Must be based in the United States, specifically Los Angeles County.
• English proficiency: at least B2 level.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in machine learning or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience training Foundational Models/LLMs and low-level optimization of ML training workflows.
• Experience with CUDA kernels, network I/O, and large-scale distributed systems.
