What you will do

• Lead and manage a small technical team, including performance reviews and development planning.
• Oversee all development activities for Perc products, including bug fixes, enhancements, releases, and regression testing.
• Manage internal R&D infrastructure such as source code management, bug tracking, nightly builds, and Docker containers.
• Engage with defense industry organizations and collaborate with aerospace and defense teams to expand market opportunities.
• Define and manage product strategy, roadmaps, and release schedules while supporting marketing and sales efforts.
• Build long-term customer trust by ensuring timely issue resolution and providing technical support and pre-sales assistance.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the USA (remote work allowed only within the USA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience in defense-related solutions or tools.
• Strong background in software development, product/project management, and quality assurance.
• Experience with development tools for military defense applications.
• Proficiency in Java and C++ programming; knowledge of Linux system administration and embedded real-time systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with gcc, LLVM, JVM specifications, lock-free concurrency algorithms, and ARM/x86 architectures.
• Familiarity with Bash, Perl, GNU Make, Apache Ant, Subversion, Docker, and Adobe FrameMaker documentation.
