What you will do
- Design, implement, and own core game systems and features in Unity for a new mobile game.
- Translate ideas into functional prototypes and enable swift iteration with cross-functional teams.
- Build adaptable, resilient code evolving with changing requirements across client, server, tooling, and analytics.
- Lead transition from prototype to production-quality code and review peer code for quality and best practices.
- Drive technical discussions influencing game design and write clear technical documentation.
- Profile and debug games to ensure high performance for users.
Requirements
- Must reside in or be eligible to work remotely from specified US states or Toronto, Canada.
- 5+ years professional experience building mobile games in Unity with free-to-play expertise.
- Experience with client authoritative applications and backend server reconciliation.
- Shipped or scaled a successful cross-platform mobile game or app with 300,000+ daily active users.
- Strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Professional experience with Golang.
- Experience developing core gameplay using ECS architectures like Unity Entities, Entitas, or similar.
- Additional programming languages beyond C#.
