What you will do

• Manage 1–2 teams of software engineers building and scaling distributed systems
• Recruit, mentor, and coach engineers at various experience levels
• Lead project planning and delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Drive design, architecture, and development discussions
• Own operational metrics and software support for teams
• Improve software engineering practices and conduct design/code reviews

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work hybrid with presence in Leeds office
• Experience leading high-performing engineering teams in scalable distributed environments
• Strong technical background in software engineering disciplines
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of modern API-driven architectures and observability
• Passion for people development and technical leadership
