What you will do
- Define and own the long-term technical vision and architectural strategy for major business verticals.
- Drive high-leverage technical initiatives that deliver measurable business growth and operational efficiency.
- Design, govern, and audit complex, scalable, and resilient systems across multiple teams.
- Mentor and coach senior and staff engineers to elevate technical standards and leadership.
- Resolve complex cross-team technical conflicts and communicate strategic technical decisions effectively.
- Champion best practices in software development, CI/CD, production readiness, and risk management.
Requirements
- Location: Hybrid work with 2 in-office days per week in Cardiff, UK
- English: Proficient English required (job posting in English)
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies, event/data ingestion, and 3rd party API integrations.
- Deep knowledge of modern frameworks including Go, React, .Net, and Python.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure scalability strategies.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical complexity into business context.
