What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain core design systems including components, tokens, interaction patterns, and documentation.
- Develop scalable UI frameworks enabling engineers to ship consistent, consumer-grade experiences quickly.
- Partner with product designers to translate UI/UX patterns into reusable, production-ready components.
- Prototype and experiment rapidly to validate concepts before integration.
- Lead frontend best practices across accessibility, performance, animation, layout, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate design system components and create governance processes.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Seattle, USA
- 5+ years of frontend or UX engineering experience in consumer or product-focused companies.
- Strong skills in building scalable component libraries, design systems, and reusable UI frameworks.
- Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next, CSS systems, and component architecture.
- Deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance considerations.
- Excellent visual and interaction design sense with strong communication skills.
