TL;DR

Applied Scientist (AI): Leading the end-to-end model-building process for Windows Copilot, including data curation, model development, deployment, and iteration based on real-world feedback. Focus on integrating cutting-edge AI advancements into production systems and optimizing AI workflows for performance and scalability.

Location: Redmond, United States. Required to be local to the Seattle area, in office 3 days a week. From January 26, 2026, employees within 50 miles of a hirify.global office are expected to work from a designated office at least four days a week.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (for U.S. outside San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)

What you will do

• Develop and refine data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI model development for Copilot.
• Collaborate with research teams to integrate cutting-edge AI advancements into production systems.
• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models, ensuring performance optimization and scalability.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure AI-driven experiences meet quality and user experience standards.
• Conduct rigorous data analysis and experimentation, leveraging insights to improve Copilot’s intelligence.
• Stay ahead of the latest innovations in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience OR Master’s Degree AND 3+ years experience OR Doctorate AND 1+ year experience.
• OR equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of deploying machine learning models in large-scale production environments.
• Experience building data pipelines, training deep learning models, and optimizing AI workflows.
