What you will do
- Lead engineering teams responsible for Edge Traffic Infrastructure and networking architecture.
- Define and deliver vision, strategy, and roadmap for system ingress and egress points.
- Collaborate across infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to build reliable, secure, and scalable networking infrastructure.
- Improve key metrics for availability, performance, and resiliency.
- Take ownership of team operations and availability through monitoring, triage, playbooks, testing, and alerting.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
- Help develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience with 2+ years leading teams focused on infrastructure, networking, compute, or distributed systems.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management, ownership, and successful delivery.
- Expertise in managing large-scale, geographically distributed cloud infrastructure systems.
- Expertise in scaling networking infrastructure like CDN, Load Balancers, or API Gateways.
- Familiarity with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure and vendors like Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai.
- Experience delivering major features, system components, or deprecating functionality with technical and execution plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective global engineering team collaboration.
