TL;DR

Senior Backend Software Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js): Shaping and delivering scalable and robust solutions for merchant product creation tools with an accent on API design, microservices architecture, and system scalability. Focus on identifying codebase improvements, ensuring platform stability, and fostering knowledge-sharing through code reviews.

Location: Fully Remote within Europe. Office work is optional in Riga, Tallinn, or Barcelona.

What you will do

Take responsibility for the design and execution of your own initiatives.
Identify areas for codebase improvement and contribute to making it better.
Pair with teammates for code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Fix prioritized bugs and issues within the platform.
Participate in sprint demos, learning days, and tech meets.
Learn, develop soft skills, and discuss best practices with peers.

Requirements

6+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
2+ years of commercial experience with Node.js.
Solid experience with TypeScript and NestJS.
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
Experience with microservice architectures and AWS (or other major cloud provider).
Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

Nice to have

Experience with PHP.
Curiosity to learn new languages (i.e. Rust).
